Job Grade            4A

Reports to:          CMO

Role Summary                  

Under the direction and guidance of the Chief Marketing Officer, the Marketing and Promotions Coordinator is responsible for supporting Scoops Unlimited Limited by implementing and monitoring engaging promotions campaigns, and ensuring that Scoops’ brand image and operational standards are implemented and maintained in the Scoops owned shops, as well as key distributors and 3rd party retail outlets.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities                     

  • Implement operational standards and procedures to maintain the Devon House brand image and standards with all distributors and 3rd party retail shops.
  • Support the establishment of new Scoops owned shops by organization promotional activities to include signage, brand ambassadors, point of sales material and banners. Ensure timely display and removal of promotional and related signage.
  • Regularly visit shops, maintain close communications, and assist each Retail Managers with the delivery of respective shops performance standards & targets.
  • Provide regular reports to the CMO to support improved management, promotional effectiveness, increased consumer/sales, stronger margins.
  • Implement merchandising guidelines and brand standards to design dynamic and engaging displays within the shop.
  • Work along with the Social Media company to Draft and publish accurate and engaging social media posts and email campaigns that follow established brand and content guidelines.
  • Monitor sign formats and templates to ensure shops are using established brand standards and guidelines.
  • Purchase and maintain merchandising supplies and props.
  • Develop the assigned brand line of products by evaluating brand testing, recommend whether to terminate a flavour, modify brand promotions or begin promotional campaign.
  • Develop customer base, promotional plans and assist in developing advertising programmes for CCL/Scoops products.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing plans and competitive strategies for development growth of the assigned product line.
  • Assist in developing and implementing promotional strategies, which generate and- maintain public interest in the Company's products.
  • Oversee the introduction of new products to the market through contract Distributors and various distribution channels.
  • Recommend sales strategies that will lead to increased market share.
  • Follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction (after sales service) track and manage sales projections against orders and inventory for assigned products and for promotions which are activated.
  • Continuously review product lines to achieve cost and quality improvements to meet changing market needs.
  • Submit progress and promotional reports on brand development activities monthly or as required.
  • Conduct market/customer/pricing surveys and convey results to CMO in writing as required. Pricing surveys to be done monthly.
  • Assist with market research projects.
  • Prepare reports to indicate trends in the market and make recommendations to improve customer service and sales.
  • Researches and co-ordinates promotional opportunities.
  • Organizes and handles all logistics involved in securing event and promotion locations.
  • Develops and maintains database for all contracts for promotions and special events calendars.
  • Establish and monitor budgets to support ventures.
  • Adhere to all current, security, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Arranges and supervises in-store promotions including the activities of Sales Promoters, co-ordination of equipment, supplies and display arrangements.
  • Advise customers on product display techniques and product usage ideas to add value to the products.
  • Assist in the training of Sales Promoters

Qualifications, Experience & Education:

  • Degree

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 2 years Marketing or equivalent relevant experience is required.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
