HEAD OF TALENT ACQUISITION & EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE
Reporting to the CHRO, GKL, the Head of Talent Acquisition & Employee Experience will act as a change agent and resource to assist the GK Group on its journey to creating a highly skilled and engaged workforce in support of our vision of becoming a Global Consumer Group. This will include focus on recruitment and selection, global mobility, onboarding, retention and engagement.
Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management and/or Development, Industrial Psychology, Communication or related discipline.
Internationally recognized Professional Certification
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience at the management level.
A track record of designing and successfully implementing strategic talent management programmes.
Experience in non-traditional methods of recruiting and demonstrated success as a recruiter
Understanding of talent management software systems (e.g. performance, learning & development and succession management)
Strong business acumen, results oriented and execution driven
Strategic planning know-how and innovative thinking
Ability to engage and influence senior leaders and key stakeholders, and maintain effective relationships at all levels
Excellent organizational and presentation skills
Ability to define and analyze accurate metrics to provide actionable insights to the leadership
Proven ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with HRMIS and Microsoft Office Suite
Principal Responsibilities
TALENT ACQUISITION
Build strong, credible relationships with senior leaders, hiring managers, and HR business partners, operating as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to identify and respond to our current and future staffing needs.
Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of an effective strategic global workforce plan for the Group.
Develop and drive a competency-based talent acquisition model to ensure alignment with the “GK Great People” capabilities and to meet future leadership needs
Deploy innovative sourcing and candidate engagement tactics including use of online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks), employee referrals, partnerships with educational institutions and networking events to source and attract the highest calibre talent to support our business strategy
Build a strong Talent Database of screened, high potential internal and external candidates to respond to current and future workforce needs
Manage the Group’s corporate internship and accelerated development programmes as a component of GK’s talent management strategy.
TALENT ONBOARDING
Develop and implement a robust, best in class onboarding programme for new employees. The programme should be driven by technology, highly engaging, interactive and rich, ensuring a successful and satisfying experience for each employee as they transition into the GK Group. The programme should include immersing the new employee into the GK “Way” (culture) to ensure full alignment with our values.
TALENT RETENTION & ENGAGEMENT
Implement the talent management strategy related to performance management, succession planning, global mobility, talent assessment, and career management that align with the organization’s objectives
Manage the assignment of secondees in keeping with the Global Mobility Policy, track and report on talent acquisition and mobility related costs and ensure costs are in line with budgetary guidelines.
Enhance GK’s Career Management systems to enable staff to see clear paths of progression within the Group which allows them to better manage their careers.
Lead the annual employment engagement survey process and act as a resource on building employee engagement and recognition programmes & initiatives
Consistently research best practices and recommend retention tools and initiatives required to achieve GraceKennedy’s talent strategy
Develop appropriate metrics and tracking mechanisms to build accountability, measure results and optimize the impact of GK’s talent management programmes.
